  1. The route and sessions were updated in May 2022 and unfortunately TZIT have not been able to upload them. It is not in my gift to release them through any other site but I will message Chris Gerlach and ask he he can think of any way we can release them because the update is compatible with TRS19 and TRS22. Bob
  2. ppens when I type directly into the forumwhat the OFS is an example What I typed was "This is an example of what happens when I type directly into the forum" my solution is to type message in Notepand and copy and paste it into the forum. The club posts work correctly it is only the forum where I have the issue.
  3. I do not want to play the subscription game so trains plus is never on my radar. TRS22 PE does now have Surveyor 2 and while it is full of bugs it also has some good features and I have watched a U-Tube video by an N3V Joe which exposes many of the shortcomings of surveyor 2. What made me pay attention was the statment that surveyor classic which we know and love is being phased out and will not be around for long. While I was still trying to understand the implications of that he said he threw in another N3V gem and that was that all routes to be released would be using HD terrain which is currently only part of trainz plus. That made pause the video and get a strong cup of coffee. I still do not understand what that means for all the existing routes and so many of our assets. What I thought that meant was that the changes to the next release would make everything with a version number below 5 incompatible because I understand that that is the first version that can convert to the HD terrain format. So to make a short story, long my conclusion is that the oldest working version of trainz we can work with to ensure compatibility for the future is TRS19 SP5.So if I select TRS19 in the survey it has to be with the constraint that it is and must be SP5 Build 117009.
  4. As a simple Englishman I find it hard to answer a binary question with a single version as the answer. That is because:- I have TS12 installed for reference (mainly TZIT routes and sessions). I have TANE installed because that is the working version for the maintenance of the Rollins Pass route and sessions. I have TRS19 installed because I make and update all the previous work done using SP5 as the basis for import into TRS22 I have TRS22 installed so I can test all the routes and sessions I have to ensure they still work with the latest N3V innovations. TRS22 is still infested with some Bugs and N3v are having a few problems with them so I edit stuff in TRS19 and run it in TRS22.
  5. That is correct there is a set of triggers which activate the crossing and at the same time activate the traffic stopper so there is nothing new.
  6. I think your image shows you are using surveyor 2 and it is limiting what can be done. Switch to classic surveyor and open the properties window and you should see what I show in the last post.
  7. Using TRC crossings the parameters set in the route layer are also used in all sessions added to the route. That is not the case for ATLS crossings, for those crossings the assets are placed in the route layer and any settings made in the route layer need to be overwritten in each session created. The horizontal arrow shows where the name is set and the vertical arrow shows the trigger of that name.
  8. I make regular copies of my database, I do so little in one week that I only make a copy of each working DB every two weeks. I have copied all four DB TRS12, TANE, TRS19 and TRS22 but only the TRS19 and 22 regularly because the two older ones are not changing since Chris and I finished the Rollins Pass update last year when I last updated the TANE DB. I also limit the daily backups that Trainz makes from the default 7 down to 2 that is again due to my slow progress, I can normally remember all the changes I make over a day so redoing them is no big deal. Bob
  9. Hi Carlo, It is only a very large folder and by default it is in the N3V folder created in your user directory. I put mine in a different place to make them easy to find and copy but the location can be found in the box shown below. Simple Bob
  10. Carlo Tf you made a copy of the database all you would need to do is copy it to your new (ish) PC and set the new install of TRS19 to that DB and you can then delete the DB that installed with TRS19. That DB is only small with the Base and Built In stuff but disk space is precious. Bobs
  11. Hi, I can believe that is the issue but given that the cache was good for Un-Portal 2 when I started the update why was it corrupt when I finished the update
  12. I have an update for the Un-Portal 2 problem. I shut down the PC to go and take my third lot of pills of the day and when I restarted the pills seem to restarted the Un-Portal 2 rules. Closing and opening TRS22 made no difference but after the PC was shut down for 30 minutes and restarted the Un-Portal 2 rule were working normally ( I am not Computer savvy enough to pretend to understand that). Back to the checking of this latest shambles. Bob
  13. Today I installed the latest release from N3V and it has failed in several respects. when you install the "Patch" it is 9.3GB the same as the original install. The installer completes and then the DBR runs with no display so you have no idea it is running. When it completes I get 84 errors (there were none in the previous build). I open the main window and no routes or sessions show any errors. I tried several sessions and all those with Un-Portal 2 rules would emit trains. Very disappointing because the Un-Portal rule was working perfectly in all the earlier release of TRS22. I am disheartened but will continue testing this untested release of the N3V flagship Trainz. Bob
  14. You might also enjoy some new sessions for the WfD route, this week I have uploaded six sessions to the N3V download station (DLS). To find them simply enter ‘WfD’ in the search field and it will show all six sessions. Bob
  15. You should post the full specification for this PC on the Trainz forum with the Warning "Abandon Hope All Those Who Enter Here." That only seems fair.
  16. I am amazed that this machine that only understands 1 and 0 can so quickly get them confused and stop working. For many years I built my own PCs from the parts I though would run Trainz and Run 8 well. I must have made at least Five over many years so I could keep up with the advances in the simulators. After my stroke I could not get the energy or patients to research and build another PC so I invested about 350Euros more than I could build a PC for in a Corsair i200 special Edition. When I built my own specification machines I always had the problem of updating Windows and all the driver to the latest versions before I could use them. The i220 was as simple as switch on and allow windows to install and start automatically. then I was free to install Trainz and mess with any driver I wanted to update but from a working start. I have now been running the i22 since end of 2020 and it has never missed a beat. I do think that a commercial machine with a proven track record (no pun intended) was the best option for me as an old timer. As an appendix I should say I have always been an Intel and Nvidia user and even selected the same platform for the i200 PC and I have never had any failures over all those year like the ones Carlo is getting.
  17. What a distraction, how do you know what is happening on the PC display with all that psychedelic light display in front of you. I also notice that all the examples you guys show require you to exercise your mouse hand. For years now I have been so lazy I have used a roller ball device so I only have to exercise my thumb and the keyboard (a Logitech MX Keys) lets me turn off all the illuminated keys so I can see what the trains are doing without the Disco effect. Clearly I am completely behind all you up to date Wizards of Trainz but as a mere man I can only cope with one thing at a time. Maybe I should paly my iTunes and sync the keyboard lights to the music then switch the monitor off
  18. Good News, Now you can start planning how to make your TRS19 sessions compatible with TRS22. N3V have played some tricks with their kuid-3 and kuid-25 files. This was of course done to add to your fun and enjoyment when transferring your routes and sessions into TRS22.
  19. Hi All, I can confirm that I have all of the sessions running in TRS19 and 22 with all the messages displaying correctly at a resolution of 1080p, 1920 - 1080. The Heavy Metal Session I have is modified by Ettore so I cannot confirm if the HTML messages in the original display correctly. From memory the update by Ettore was done in TRS19 so could have some hidden fixes that I am not aware of. Merry Christmas
  20. Hello I am retired as well but N3V make Trainz a full time Job, just keeping the sim working is harder than any job I ever had so I wish you every success with your new Trainz adventure.
  21. Hi Are the missing dependencies available from the DLS?
  22. I did have a problem when I did the first of the two route updates. There was more than 1000 missing dependencies when the update finished. I ran a DBR and that did nothing so I ran an EDBR and that did nothing so I did another DBR and that fixed all the missing dependencies. When I did the second route update, the West from Denver route I had missing dependencies but they were all containers. which said they were available on the DLS. I downloaded them and all was well. There is a problem with the download manager in Trainz, it is the same in TRS19 and TRS22. I have sent in a bug report and Zec of N3V has confirmed that what I showed them with an image of the error should not happen.
  23. There was an issue with consists derailing in TRS19 and N3V fixed it with an update. That was happening on several routes so I do not think they edited the routes I think it was in the basic game engine. I cannot remember the build number that produced the fix but I have updated to every build up to the latest and I have not seen the problem in any of the newer releases.
  24. I have downloaded the latest update to the West from Denver route, it is :14 and I have done one short test. I am pleased to say that after I told them why there was no road traffic they have replaced their traffic free eco friendly region with the Original region made by Jango and yes we have cars running on the roads. I also noticed that the signal sequencing in Denver North Yard was working as it did in the Beta so I think that N3V have repaired the signals that they broke when they made the early release of TRS22. I think at last after only 6 months N3V have returned the route back to as it was when it was first sent to them.
